Think back to when you were a child in elementary school. Do you remember the Scholastic flyers that the teacher sent home? That was one of the favorite days of the month for most children! The tradition still continues today! They anticipate that day, because they know that they will have the opportunity to pick out their own great quality books, according to their own interests. Since they have a role in choosing which books to buy, their love or reading is further encouraged. You'll find a wide variety of books at a reasonable price. In fact, each month, you can find books priced as low as $1-2 This month's Early Childhood Flyer has Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, written by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault and illustrated by Lois Ehlert for only $1!
Encouraging reading is one of the most important things we can do to help your child succeed. It can be tough finding the right books to keep them interested, which is why we are so excited to announce that Parents as Teachers will be participating in Scholastic Reading Club this school year and we are inviting all PAT families to join in the reading fun.
