Do you remember how much fun you had playing as a child? Do you remember when your parents would play with you? I remember playing tea party with my mother. My dolls all sat in chairs around the table, and my mother and I would serve everone tea and cookies. I also remember that I had a doll buggy, and I would dress my tom cat up in doll clothes and take him for a ride. We had a large front porch on our farm house, and my cousin and I would take turns ordering food through the window while another cousin stood inside taking our order. I rode my bike and horse, played in the hay loft, went fishing with my parent, and played baseball with my brother. I have a lot of great memories from my childhood. Little did I know at the time, I was LEARNING all that I needed to know through play. Play is very important and affects every aspect of development for our growing children.
